Road Kill

Straight from the Fangoria Fright Fest comes "Road Kill", a 2010 Australian supernatural thrill about four teenagers and a road train in the outback.

The cast does a superb job with an excellent script. Almost too well, you can nearly feel their anxiety and terror, as the mysteries of the road train come to light, and the teens fall deeper into darkness. Road Kill will keep you on the edge - waiting to see who dies next, and what kind of Hell is hidden behind the train's doors. The gore and effects are as real feeling as the characters, so be prepared for a wild and chilling ride through the Australian outback with Road Kill.

Road Kill gets 4 1/2 stars from me.

The Clinic

This 2010 horror, mystery film, written and directed by James Rabbits, is a little slow on the start. But when Cameron (Andy Whitfield) decides to leave his pregnant fiance, Beth (Tabrett Bethell) alone in a motel room, to go find food in the middle of the night (What was he thinking?), the story starts to take off.

When Beth wakes up naked, soaking in a tub of ice water, and no longer pregnant, it doesn't take long for the thrills to come. Soon she realizes that she is not alone, three other women share her fate. Verinica (Freya Stafford), Ivy (Clare Bowen), and Allison (Sophie Lowe) all share the same incision, missing baby, and numbered gown. There is another wandering around too, victim turned killer, and determined to win the sick game they have been thrust into, by seeking out and dispatching each woman.

All in all The Clinic is a good film, and worth your rental fee dollars. It also goes to show what most mothers will do to save their child, even if it is in vein.

I give The Clinic 4 stars.

Haven

Here is another must see TV show, if you haven't already. Haven a Syfy original series, based off of Stephen King's The Colorado Kid, is now in it's second season. In a small Maine town, normal life is a little bit different, and these people know how to keep a secret. Strange things happen in Haven, troubling things, and it all seems to revolve around a man found dead years before, and a young woman by the name of Lucy. This second season dives in deep, as the plot thickens and twists with the addition of some new characters. This is one show that you need to see from the beginning, so if you haven't seen it, go rent season one, or down load it, whatever you have to do, but don't miss this dramatic thriller.
